So now we know. The Syracuse Orange's road to the National Championship game will go through the Michigan Wolverines. The two will meet in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, April 6 at 8:49 p.m. EST in the Georgia Dome.
A late night game is a good omen for the Orange. Three of their four NCAA Tournament games so far were the late-game.
Lots of storylines for Syracuse vs. Michigan, none of which probably more prominent than John Beilen taking on Syracuse. The Upstate NY-born coach had stints at Eric Community College, Nazareth, LeMoyne and Canisius before working his way up the ladder to Michigan. Of course, that means he's 0-9 against Syracuse lifetime, which is either a good sign or a bad sign, depending on how full your glass is.
Syracuse is 8-5 all-time against Michigan. You may remember their last meeting in Atlantic City, where the Orange won 53-50 en route to a Legends Classic title.
If Syracuse is fortunate enough to make it to the title game, the game is scheduled for 9:23 p.m. EST on Monday.
