At first I was not buying all this "It is officially closed" nonsense. As I was lying restless in bed re-playing the game in my head, I grabbed my Syracuse hoodie and coffee mug and I began to do some research.

I read that Syracuse and Georgetown has faced eachother 14 times in the Big East Tournament. Before playing last night Georgetown lead the all-time series with a 7-6 record. After last night we will forever be 7-7. This is my favorite one, since 2003, Syracuse is 14-7 against Georgetown.

And EVEN better yet, Syracuse overall is 38-35 against Georgetown. I would have to say that the door is officially closed. And with CJ’s "ESPN TOP 3" dunk on “Big East Player of The Year’s” face, it is slammed shut.

And tonight we can focus on another person that I have as much hatred for, Rick Pitino. It is time to close the door on the Big East the way it should be shut. Let's Go Orange.
