Seton Hall, we meet for the final time. Again.
The Seton Hall Pirates "won" their opening-round Big East Tournament game over the South Florida Bulls, 46-42 in overtime. Yes, that score is actual.
Despite the overtime period, they just barely avoided playing the lowest-scoring game in BET history. Kinda impressive.
Fuquan Edwin scored 17 points in the victory and the Pirate must now prepare for a 2:00 p.m. ET showdown with the Syracuse Orange on Wednesday.
SHU is 15-17 on the year, which includes a 76-65 loss to Syracuse back in February. Brandon Triche exploded for 29 points in that one, a far cry from what he's been doing recently. Hopefully he and the rest of the Orange can find some of that scoring form. Otherwise, we might be in for another 40-something-to-40-something ugly-fest.
If nothing else, Seton Hall saved America from seeing whatever godforsaken shorts USF was planning on wearing tomorrow.
