While you've been busy crying over the men's team, the women's squad has advanced to the Big East semis for the first time since 2002.

See, you're going to get your Syracuse Orange vs. Connecticut Huskies post-season fix after all.

While you've been busy crying over the men's team, the women's squad has advanced to the Big East semis for the first time since 2002. Thanks to a win over Villanova in the previous round, highlighted by Kayla Alexander's 34 points, they'll get a chance to play giant-killer to the UConn Huskies. With three losses, that's considered a "down year" for UConn, so they're ripe for the takedown.

The semifinal game tips at 8:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPNU with Syracuse native Beth Mowins and Brooke Weisbrod on the call. The winner will take on the winner of Louisville - Notre Dame on Tuesday for the Big East title.

Syracuse's 24-6 record is the best 30-game mark in SU women's basketball history and they're a lock for the NCAA Tournament, but don't think they're done making history just yet.
