35,012: Syracuse vs. Georgetown Will Break NCAA On-Campus Attendance Record

Earlier today, SU Athletics announced that they had already sold 34,414 tickets to the game, just shy of the all-time NCAA on-campus record of 34,616 set between Syracuse and Villanova in 2010. Now, according to SU Athletics, the official record will fall.

If the Syracuse Orange smart, they'll leave the Big East Conference every season. That way they'll ensure that the home game against the Georgetown Hoyas will break the NCAA on-campus attendance record.

Syracuse University has announced that the men's basketball game between long-time rivals Syracuse and Georgetown on February 23 has been sold out. The total ticket count of 35,012 shatters the previous record for an on-campus college basketball crowd.

Weird how they magically discovered 396 seats after the last time the Dome sold out.
