"It’s hard for a senior to miss games like that. It’s very difficult," Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said. "We forget how important each game is to a player. You forget that as you get older or if you never played. It’s life and death, that game. Missing one game. Missing one half is huge for players. They never get that back."

The Syracuse women's rowing team honored former head coach Kris Sanford Milburn on Sunday, dedicating a new racing shell and announcing the establishment of an equipment fund, both in her name, at the men's basketball game vs. St. John's at the Carrier Dome.
"I wasn’t sure if James was going to catch the ball, so I was just running, trying to see if the ball got tipped, if I could get it," Triche said. "But once James caught it, I think it was just natural instinct. He saw me cutting and he just made an awesome pass. I think he was paying the favor back from me getting him a few threes."
"I think I was active on defense and the offense came to me," Carter-Williams said. "I hit some shots. It was just good. Brandon penetrated and kicked to me. I was open. I was just in the flow of the game, so I felt really good about it."
"I saw the guy there for a second," Fair said, "but I was so into it, I didn't even realize he was still there. I didn't think it was a charge. I just thought it was a dunk. I didn't feel him there. It's one of them plays you wish you could take back."
Brendan Conroy said you just have to get down, hold your breath and wait for that whistle, and explode. You can't think about the pressure, or the fans, or last year's stats, he said. When that whistle comes, "clamp down and win."
