Just came across this interesting article on CBSSports.com, thought I'd share, since it hadn't made the Daily Links (or at least, not that I had noticed).
My first FanPost. Please, give me a minute, talk amongst yourselves, I'm a little verklempt.
Anyhoo, the tl/dr on that article is, there are currently only 8 teams that meet the 8 "champ-worthy" criteria that have been shared by the last dozen teams who cut down the nets.
Cuse is currently one of those 8.
And, barring a huge fade down the stretch, should remain so.
Bonus statistics! Only 4 of those 8 are also ranked sufficiently highly by KenPom's offensive- and defensive-efficiency rankings to fit the profile of the last 9 NCAA champs.
SU also makes that cut as well. As do Florida, Indiana, and Dook.
IF we can hold the fort reasonably well over the next few weeks, (BIG "IF", given JSmooth and DC 2.0's current non-playing statuses), and maintain some semblance of the form that got us this far, it bodes very well for March.
