Former Orange NFL stats from Week 16:
Tony Fiammetta (Chicago Bears) - Recorded no stats in loss @ Philadelphia.
Ryan Nassib (New York Giants) - Inactive in win @ Detroit.
Justin Pugh (New York Giants) - Started & recorded 1 solo tackle following a fumble by Andre Brown on the Giants 1st possession of OT in OT win @ Detroit.
Steve Gregory (New England Patriots) - Started & recorded 6 tackles (3 solo) in win @ Baltimore. (Gregory was injured on a play in the 2nd Q but would return to the game. He was also flagged 23 yds for defensive pass interfiernce in the 4th Q.)
Arthur Jones (Baltimore Ravens) - Started & recorded 8 tackles (4 solo, 1 for loss) in loss vs. New England. (Arthur was flagged 5 yds for illegal use of the hands in the 2nd Q.)
Chandler Jones (New England Patriots) - Started & recorded 2 tackles, 1 QB-hit & recovered a fumble in the end zone for his first career TD in win @ Baltimore.
Jameel McClain (Baltimore Ravens) - Started & recorded 8 tackles (3 solo) in loss vs. New England. (It looked as though McClain had forced a fumble after a Danny Amendola catch but the play was challenged & reversed.)
Shamarko Thomas (Pittsburgh Steelers) - Recorded 2 solo tackles on special teams in win @ Green Bay.
INJURED RESERVE/PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO PERFORM/SUSPENDED:
Dwight Freeney (San Diego Chargers) - IR (quadriceps)
Alec Lemon (Houston Texans) - IR (hamstring)
Tanard Jackson (Washington Redskins) - Suspended (substance abuse policy)
Mike Williams (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - IR (hamstring)
Tom Coughlin (New York Giants) - The Giants & Coughlin showed that they haven't mailed it in yet this season and eliminated the Detroit Lions from playoff contention after a 23-20 victory in Overtime. The Giants improve to 6-9 (3-5 on the road) and now are now tied for the 9th worst record in the league. They close the season next week at home vs. Washington, a game that could really impact the draft order. (Coughlin successfully used a coaches challenge on the Giants' first posession of the game after an Eli Manning pass was ruled incomplete on 3rd down. The Giants were awarded the catch & a first down on the challenge & the drive eventually led to 3 points.)
Doug Marrone (Buffalo Bills) - The Bills & Marrone have now matched their win total from last season after an impressive 19-0 shutout vs. the Miami Dolphins. It's good new from Marrone in his first season with the Bills who are now on a 2 game win streak improving to 6-9 (4-4 @ home). This marks Buffalo's first shutout in over 2 years & 1st under Marrone (also the first at Ralph Wilson Stadium since a 21-0 win over Miami on Dec. 17, 2006). Marrone ends his rookie season as head coach with a trip to New England who is still looking for home field advantage in the playoffs. (Marrone successfully used coaches challenge to have a completed pass by the Dolphins overturned on their final possession of the game.) Marrone also wore a "full" hat for the first time I can remember at any point as a coach ever since he normally wears the visor. (LINK TO ANOTHER PHOTO)
