When you put six of the nation's best NCAA lacrosse programs together in one conference, you're going to have some pretty strong scheduling. When you mix in Syracuse's penchant for scheduling some of the other top programs in the nation, you're going to be left with a 2014 schedule that is frickin' ridiculous.
Monday, 2/14: Siena Saints, Carrier Dome
Sunday, 2/16: #12 Albany, N.Y. Great Danes, Carrier Dome
Saturday, 2/22: #6 Maryland Terrapins, Carrier Dome
Friday, 2/28: #9 Virginia Cavaliers, Charlottesville, VA
Saturday 3/8: #16 St. John's Red Storm, Kennesaw, GA
Saturday, 3/15: #14 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, Baltimore, MD
Sunday, 3/23: #1 Duke Blue Devils, Durham, NC
Saturday, 3/29: #4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Carrier Dome
Wednesday, 4/2: Binghamton Bearcats, Carrier Dome
Tuesday, 4/8: #17 Cornell Big Red, Ithaca, NY
Saturday, 4/12: #3 North Carolina Tar Heels, Carrier Dome
Saturday, 4/19: Hobart Statesmen, Geneva, NY
April 25 - April 27: ACC Tournament, Chester, PA
Saturday, 5/3: Colgate Red Raiders, Carrier Dome
If you're keeping score, every game is against a preseason ranked team except four and we'll play every other team in the Top 5 (we're No. 2). And that's not including the ACC Tourney.
If you're wondering about that St. John's game in Georgia, that's part of the Cobb County Classic, because Syracuse is required by law to participate in at least one Classic per season.
