Pretty sure this isn't headline worthy news, so I'll throw it here in case anyone is super interested.

Syracuse Lacrosse has confirmed today that Number 5 Virginia will travel to The Carrier Dome on March 1 at 6 PM to play the Orange. The game will be available on Time Warner Cable sports.

Syracuse has a two game deficit in the all time series (15-13). The last time these two teams (IN THE DOME) met was back in 2011. Syracuse packed the house with over 14,000 and won a thriller 12-10.

By the time the game rolls around both of these teams should be in the conversation for a Tournament birth. Last season's logjam with independent/non AQ conference wins is likely to occur once again and thus a win late in the season over a top team would be wonderful for both sides.

It's too early to tell what kind of team Virginia will bring to the Dome this year but we know they will be good, so come on out if you can.
