Apparently Fab Melo isn't the only former SU big man tearing up the D-League.
This article explains how well he's been playing and why he might be the top NBDL prospect right now:

Basically he's still productive and ridiculously efficient on offense and as a result leads the league in PER (by a large margin). He's also shooting just a touch over 50% from the line - which, for him, is pretty good.
The biggest surprise though is that he has apparently become a beast on the glass. While he was at SU he was always an average rebounder at best, but he's averaging over 11 boards a game in just 24 minutes.
I bring this up because after watching him develop for 5 years, the way his career ended was pretty heartbreaking. Then I remember reading some interview with him about a year later in which he just sounded depressed. I'm really glad to see that he might be able to find some satisfaction in basketball again.
