I know many of you will read the Mike Hopkins to USC and immediately dismiss it because he has waited a long time for the syracuse job to open up. Dave Telep (espn basketball recruiting expert) tweeted about it. Hopkins is from California and USC seems like it could be a pretty good job to land in college basketball (major conference but far from a powerhouse conference like the Big East (was) or Big Ten/ACC).

Also... until this week I would have never believed it BUT with the current mass exodus of syracuse coaches leaving their dream job to go to another coaching position (lookin' at you bologna sandwhich) why not?
