Syracuse Orange fans are looking for signs heading into their match-up with the mighty USC Trojans. Much like the Insane Clown Posse trying to figure out how magnets work, SU fans are looking for answers and clues to let them know that the college football gods are smiling down on them.

We may have gotten one in the news that Sir Alec Lemon, arguably the best offensive weapon available to Ryan Nassib, will play on Saturday (via Nolan Weidner):

SU head coach Doug Marrone said Lemon was good to go after the 6-foot-2, 205-pound wide receiver worked out with quarterback Ryan Nassib at a team walk-through this morning.

Lemon, who sat out the Orange’s opener against Northwestern last week, struggled the past month with a lower body injury. He is SU’s top returning wideout, a second-team All-Big East performer in 2011 who set a school single-season record with 68 receptions.

The wide receivers did quite well without Lemon last week but adding him to the mix makes the WR corp that much more compelling and dangerous. And we're gonna need all the help we can get.
