Literally yesterday, I tweeted "It's beginning to look more and more like Syracuse will not wear new or wacky uniforms on Saturday. Will we get fined for this?" The answer is no, we will not get fined, because we actually will have new, possibly wacky uniforms on Saturday when we take on the USC Trojans:

That's a sneak peak courtesy of the SU Twitterfeed. The good news is that it looks like, at least jersey-wise, that it's not too different. Obviously that patch is new, featuring No. 44 (which I thought was illegal to put on Syracuse uniforms...), the Syracuse zip code (for some reason) and Express, which I hope is to represent Ernie Davis and not try to sell some DVDs.

Looks like the piping is different on the jersey as well and something tells me we might see some funky pants, but, we'll see.

Initial thoughts? It's subtler than most of these special uniforms, so that's a good start. And so long as the New York State flag is nowhere to be found, and the helmet isn't a giant NYC instead of a Block S, I'm a happy camper.
