Michael Ivins-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Orange Madness is all set for October 12th at 8:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome and it will feature Scoop Jardine, Michael Jordan's daughter (!!) and rapper Wale.
There are some Syracuse Orange fans out there who were happy to see Scoop Jardine graduate this past year. Well, they're not done with the Jade Scorpion just yet. Scoop and his girlfriend, Michael Jordan's daughter Jasmine, will co-host Midnight Orange Madness on October 12th at 8:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
Tickets, which are free, are available at the Carrier Dome Box Office, Schine Student Center and various AmericCU Credit Unions.
Jardine is currently rehabbing from an injury, which makes him the latest in a line of recent SU stars to be at this event while rehabbing. Arinze Onuaku did the same thing a few years back.
The powers-that-be learned a very valuable lesson last year when the initial celebrity acts, Tone Loc and one of the Jersey Shore nudniks, were met with derision and laughter. They were booted and in their place came rapper Meek Mill, a player and recruit favorite. They were smart enough to stick to what works and will bring in Wale, a BET and Soul Train awards winning rapper.
Fun Fact: Wale's full name is Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, which is waaaaaay more awesome.
As you know, the event will be televised in ESPNU and ESPN3.com or whatever it's called these days. Those wanting to watch this event and only this event are advised to watch it online as ESPNU will be cutting away to various other Midnight Madness events at the same time.
