And just like that, things look a lot more daunting for the Syracuse Orange. While the Stony Brook performance could be written off as the Orange playing down to their opponent, the 17-10 loss to Minnesota confirmed that this team is who we thought they weren't. And the Quest For Beef just got a whole lot tougher.

Syracuse has to go 5-3 from there on our for a chance at beef. And that suddenly looks pretty daunting.
Now, let's take a look ahead to see how our upcoming opponents did and how likely we are to raise the QOM in the coming weeks...
Pittsburgh Panthers (2-2):That Pitt team that lost to Youngstown State seems to be gone. A week after dropping Virginia Tech, the Panthers dismantled Garner-Webb 55-10.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-0): You could easily look at Rutgers' 4-0 record and say they haven't played anyone all that impressive but the truth is, on paper, that was a solid 35-26 win over Arkansas this past weekend.
Connecticut Huskies (2-2): UConn lost to Western Michigan this past weekend. Just remember that for when we play them.
South Florida Bulls (2-2): USF lost to Ball State this past weekend. Just remember that for when we play them.
Cincinnati Bearcats (2-0):Cincy didn't play this past weekend. I feel like they never play. I'm not sure they've actually played this season.
Louisville Cardinals (4-0): The Cards are 4-0 thanks to a 28-21 win over FIU but they're suspect as hell. They're going to lose to a crappy team eventually.
Missouri Tigers (2-2): The Tigers' SEC start isn't going so well. They got beat down by South Carolina 31-10. They're probably going to have a so-so record when we play them but it will be deceiving.
Temple Owls (1-2): Penn State upended the Owls 24-13, ruining their best chances ever to beat the Lions.
Total Remaining Opponent Record: 19-10
