A week after being held to 18 yards by Fort Hamilton, Augustus Edwards (HB, 6'1", 210) was on a mission to defeat Lincoln HS.
"All week in practice he was down on himself from his performance against Fort Hamilton," (Malique Belfort) said. "Everybody’s been coming at him, telling him that he’s a bust and [Kahlil Lewin] from Erasmus is a better running back. I think my running back is the best running back."
Edwards didn't disappoint. The star back put up 188 yards and three touchdowns, including the game tying run in overtime, to help the Pirates top Lincoln 29-28. MSG Varsity, who has Tottenville ranked eighth in its Tri-State Area Top 25, has full game video available. Tottenville remains undefeated at 2-0.
