There's not much to add to LeftyTG's great post about Zach Allen's (QB, 6'2", 185) single-handed dismantling of powerhouse Westlake, so go read that post if you haven't already, but I can add full game video (h/t to Upstate from Syracusefan.com). Allen's 2-0 Temple Wildcats beat Westlake 49-42, behind a 22-33, 282 yard, four touchdown performance by Allen. The Elite 11 QB also gained 67 yards on 16 carries.

Austin Wilson (QB, 6'3", 205) had a great day throwing the ball against West Perry, going 17-24 for 265 yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn't enough for the win, as East Pennsboro (1-1) fell 31-26. Wilson also added 12 yards on six carries.
Fort Hamilton's game plan on defense was almost entirely skewed towards stopping Tottenville's Augustus Edwards (HB, 6'1", 210) on offense, and they were pretty effective in doing so. Edwards was held to just 18 yards on eight carries. Unfortunately for Fort Hamilton, that opened things up for quarterback Brandon Barnes and receiver Malique Belfort, who led Tottenville to a 32-0 victory. Edwards was able to make his presence felt on defense, where he recorded two sacks at linebacker.
Tottenville coach Jim Munson praised Edwards for his defensive performance after the game...
"They took Augustus out of the game (on offense), but you saw what he can do at defensive end and linebacker," raved Munson. "He's great. We didn't know what to expect, but we have great senior leadership and we grew a little bit today."
I'm not sure if Tyler Provo (FB/TE, 6'3", 235) has returned from injury, but American Heritage fared well either way, upsetting 6A State Champs Armwood 36-28 this week. Last week I said that American Heritage was 1-1, but apparently the loss to Cocoa was a preseason game, so after this win the Stallions sit at 2-0.
In a similar story, apparently Brighton's loss to Canton from two weeks ago was also a preseason game, as the Rochester school's season actually began this weekend with a 28-13 win over Greece Arcadia. High school football box scores on the internet aren't always the most accurate, apparently. SU commit Devan Carter (LB, 6'2", 217) had a monster game on both sides of the ball for the Barons, rushing for 202 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries, and adding a big sack on defense.
More scores after the jump...
