Couple Syracuse Orange basketball tidbits that may have slipped through the cracks over the past few days to catch up on...

First of all, a hearty congrats to Griffin Hoffmann and Matt Lyde-Cajuste, Syracuse's newest scholarship basketball players. With only ten scholarship players on the roster this season, Boeheim had some wiggle room under the NCAA limit of 13.

You might remember that SU basketball team photo shoot from the other day. You might also remember a mysterious player in navy blue standing in the middle of the photo. You assumed that was Duke transfer Michael Gbinijie and, of course, you assumed WRONG. That was actually Noel Jones, Syracuse's new walk-on. Jones is a 6'6" junior from Halifax, Nova Scotia, helping SU meet it's yearly quota of Canadian players.

When James Southerland was absent from those photos, a bunch of people freaked the F out. Donna Ditota wants you to know that James is still on the team and is working out with his teammates. Occam's Razor, you guys...
