So it was recently announced that there will be a 16 teams participating in a Nike only tournament during the 2017-18 season to honor Nike's co-founder Phil Knight's 80th birthday. They selected 2 Nike schools from each of the main conferences so the ACC reps will be none other than Duke & UNC. The big east reps are our old foes UConn & Georgetown. It will take place in Portland, Oregon & be spilt into 2-8 team tournaments to separate teams from the same conferences.

It would have been nice to be included in this high profile tournament, especially since we are one of the only teams I can think of who's mascot actually wears a Nike logo.

Jim Boeheim who most likely won't be coaching in 2017-18 season would probably say he could careless about the schedule but be glad that he didn't have to go all the way to Oregon for a game. Mike Hopkins will continue in the Boeheim ways & not commenting because he's busy recruiting Melo's son for another run at the ACC tittle.
