The Syracuse Orange are required by law to have one Canadian on the roster at all times. Andy Rautins and Kris Joseph carried his that maple-y torch in recent years. However, as of this moment, we are Canuck-less.
Help us, Tyler Ennis, you're our only hope.
Ennis, the No. 4 point guard in the Class of 2013 according to Scout.com (No. 20 says Rivals), will make his college choice tonight at 7:00 p.m. EST via his AAU team's website (ugh).
Mike Waters has the deets:
Mike George, the coach of CIA Bounce, said by telephone that Ennis will announce his decision tomorrow night at 7 via the team's website. The announcement will come in the form of a video produced during the day and posted at night, George said.
Ennis is choosing between Syracuse, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis and UCLA. However, most folks are reporting that Syracuse is the front-runner or favorite to land Ennis' services.
Adam Zagoria says SU has "long been the frontrunner" thanks to Adrian Autry's incessant following of the Canadian while the folks at Coast2CoastHoops are convinced it's a done deal.
As we all know, it's not officially until he signs on the dotted line. But if Tyler Ennis puts on a Syracuse hat tonight, that bodes well for the future of the program. And if he doesn't, he doesn't. Don't freak out, have you seen our recruit list?
