The Connecticut Huskies aren't going to be the team they usually are in the 2012-13 season, so we're scheduling other Connecticut schools to make up for it.
You can add the Central Connecticut St. Blue Devils to our 2012-13 non-conference slate.
The Blue Devils face Indiana Dec. 8 and finish the non-conference portion of the season Dec. 31 at Syracuse.
The Devils are coming off a 13-16 season in which they were 10-8 in the NEC.
Looks like it will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Good addition as the Orange need to add some teams this like to off-set the tough non-con games already on the slate.
Here's what your updated non-conference schedule looks like:
- November 9th - San Diego State (@ USS Midway)
- November 30th - @Arkansas
- December 5th - Long Beach State
- TBD - Three unknown Gotham Classic opponents in Carrier Dome (likely 1st and 2nd week in Dec.)
- December 22nd - Temple @MSG
- December 31st - Central Conn. State
- TBD - Drexel
