Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim begins another Olympic journey with U.S. basketball team | syracuse.com
I’ve got to tell you, I’m really looking forward to it all ... just like I was in 2008 in China and 2010 in Turkey. It’s great for me to go to practice and watch these guys play and see the things they can do. It’s a learning experience for me. It really is. I learn something every day from the players and the other coaches — Mike Krzyzewski, Mike D’Antoni and Nate McMillan.

Dion Waiters great fit for Cleveland Cavaliers | The Juice Online
Although I would personally project Barnes to have a better NBA career than Waiters, the Irving-Waiters backcourt is one that could be very exciting. With Irving showing he can play both in the half-court and in transition, Waiters seems to be a better running mate to get out in the open floor.

In the crazy world of college lacrosse recruiting where Inside Lacrosse is documenting oral commitments from players who just completed their freshman – that’s right, freshman – years of high school ball, the web site is reporting that the Syracuse University lacrosse team has received an oral pledge from Penn Yan’s sophomore Bradley Voigt.

A look toward the 2012-13 basketball team — Voice of the Syracuse fan | The Juice Online

Forward C.J. Fair preparing to take the next step for Syracuse | CollegeBasketballTalk
"Yes I’ve moved up to the wing," said Fair in an interview with NBCSports.com on Saturday afternoon. "Coach [Jim Boeheim] expects a lot out of me this season, and I think I’m ready for that challenge...The camps have helped me out a lot, especially the Kevin Durant camp," said Fair. "I learned more about how to get open there, which is important now that I’ll be a focus of the scouting report."

EXCLUSIVE: SU’s Brandon Reese Talks About His Experience, Dion Waiters’ Secret Talent, And What’s Next | CollegeSpun
I would have gone to play somewhere else if there had been the opportunity. But I just took my opportunity at Syracuse and made the best of it — I looked at it as a four-year internship. I got to play with three or four of the greatest guards, I got to learn from some of the best coaches in the country, and I got to play against the best competition. All of that only made me better.

Let's say EA Sports hired us to provide ratings for all 124 FBS teams. Big East Position Rankings: Wide Receivers - Big East Coast Bias
Ryan Nassib is toiling away in relative obscurity in Syracuse and while the team failed to reach a bowl game, he's played well in Doug Marrone's pro-style offense, despite not having overwhelming targets to throw to. The Orange lose Van Chew, Dorian Graham, and Nick Provo (who is still WIDE OPEN against West Virginia) and there's some mystery about who the replacements will be. Tailback Antwon Bailey was also a nice receiving target out of the backfield and is also gone. Alec Lemon is back, but questionable with a shoulder issue and Marcus Sales returns after being suspended for the entire season last year. If Lemon and Sales comes back full strength, that's two good targets, but there's little known depth past them and there's no sure replacement for Provo.
