Ladies and gentlemen, we are left with the ACC opponent in the Orange Bowl and 2 wildcard spots in the access bowls. If I were the ACC/Orange Bowl I would not partner with anyone. The contract bowls should have first pick of the non semi-finalists. Essentially, the Orange Bowl will have a 2nd or 3rd place team from the SEC, Big 10, Pac 10, or Big 12. The Orange Bowl would also have the freedom to select a Big East team, BYU or Notre Dame if they are ranked in the top 10. However, a top 3 Big Ten or SEC team on New Years Day will fill the stadium in Miami.

The ACC needs to book the next highest bowl possible asap. The loser bowl between the Cap One bowl and Chick Fil A bowl is ideal. It is a race for bowl real estate.
