TNIAAM Podcast: Talking MasterChef or Why Don't You Cry About It?

It's the summer and that means there's only so much Syracuse Orange you can discuss. I have other interests, you know! One of them is cooking shows. As you're probably aware, I'm a fan of Chopped, Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, Next Foot Network Star and, of course, MasterChef, where Gordon Ramsay offers contestants the chance to cook "THE most a-MA-zing ingredients" and turn them in to "APP-so-lute-lee STUNNING dishes."

Brian Harrison of Orange44 and Scott King of Bearcats Blog are also big fans of the Gordon Ramsay oeuvre and the three of us sat down to discuss this current season of MasterChef, which has been, hands down, the weepiest season a cooking show has ever seen.

And along the way, our conversation included comparisons between Hell's Kitchen and Top Chef, wondering what the hell happens to all that food, breaking down the psychology behind getting so emotionally-involved in a show in which you will be forgotten as soon as you win. Oh and we somehow closed with a discussion about The Dark Knight Rises and trying to avoid spoilers. We did a lot of talking, is the point.

You can listen below, you can download the podcast from TalkShoe and feel calmed by our voices during your morning yoga practice, you can subscribe to the RSS feed and you can even download it off iTunes like the cool kids do.
