While the Syracuse Orange haven't had a "oh my God" receiver since Mike Williams (and that counts for his on and off the field activity), Sir Alec Lemon has quietly put together one of the more impressive receiver resumes in recent school history.
While he isn't recognized too often on the national stage, it's nice to see that folks are still paying attention. Lemon is one of three Big East receivers named to the 2012 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list.
Lemon is coming off a record-breaking season in which he set the Syracuse single-season reception record with 68 catches. He's currently fifth all-time with 129 career receptions and tied for ninth all-time with eleven touchdown catches.
The receiver is coming off shoulder surgery that forced him to sit out the spring but the fact the he's attending Big East Media Day tells us that he's expected to be ready to go for the September opener.
The Biletnikoff Award winner will be named in December and honored at a banquet on Feb. 9.
