Jim Boeheim's favorite topic, the APR, is news again today as the latest rankings have been released by the NCAA.
The good news? Syracuse is looking good on all fronts.
The bad news? Not much of it, really. Unless you're UConn.
In basketball, the Syracuse Orange have a multi-year score of 936. That encompasses the 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic years. 930 is the number we all have to fear in coming years and that's a little close for comfort, but aside from Fab Melo we're expecting our averages to keep rising. Syracuse's score for the 2010-2011 year was a perfect 1000. That score was 14th out of 16 Big East schools.
In football, the Orange have a 950 multi-year average, good for sixth in the conference (fifth if you take out WVU). Guess those iPads were earned after all. That's the program's highest score since the 2007-2008 season.
Other Syracuse APR scores include men's lacrosse (966), women's basketball, (974), women's lacrosse (984), women's softball (978) and women's field hockey (986).
