With wins over Louisville (16-9) and Cincinnati (22-5) this weekend, SU has officially locked up a berth in the Big East Tournament in two weeks. SU now faces Loyola, Md. on Friday and finishes the regular season against Villanova on Sunday. Loyola and SU are both 6-0 in the Big East, so Friday's game will decide who wins the regular season title and gets the no.1 spot in the BET (which, btw, is at the Dome this year).
Notre Dame, with their 7-6 2OT win over Georgetown on Saturday, will have the no. 3 spot regardless of what happens next weekend. Rutgers and Georgetown will face each other next weekend in a big game since this will decide who takes the no. 4 spot in the Tournament (both teams are 4-3 right now).
So, if SU beats Loyola, they get the no. 1 spot and will play either Rutgers or Georgetown in the semifinal. If they lose, they will play Notre Dame.
