Now that the Syracuse Orange football team knows who they'll be playing in 2012, they can start preparing. The Orange will return to the field for spring practice beginning March 20.

That also includes a return trip to Rochester for one day.

For the second year in a row, New York’s College Team will travel to Rochester for one day of Spring practice. On Saturday, April 7, the Orange will practice at Sahlen’s Stadium, the home field for Rochester’s professional soccer teams, on Saturday, at Noon. The special practice, which is presented by Summit Federal Credit Union, will feature T-shirt giveaways, an autograph session, and food and drink concessions.

The annual Spring Game will take place Saturday, April 21 at the Carrier Dome. The gates open at 11:00 a.m. for the game and meet-and-great and will be followed by the Syracuse - Georgetown lacrosse game. Not a shabby way to spend a Saturday.
