Louisville Monday night
I know Uconn is up next but I just purchased a ticket for the game @ Louisville Monday night and I am very excited. Althought that excitement was immediatly subdued once I found I purchased a student section ticket. Is anyone here going to the game? Going out before? Know much about Louisville? I'll be traveling down from Cincinnati and should arrive an hour or two before tipoff.
I went to the game at Cincinnati but sat up in the nosebleeds without any issues. Not sure about this one.

Maybe
I may be making the trip up from Nashville, I’ll be deciding in the next couple days, probably based on the performance against UConn. I’m just concerned making the long drive and seeing the usual loss to the Cardinals.

Student section tix
Students section is pretty tame. I sat one row behind the band for Nova. There were alot of adults in the student section. It seems the kids that go there like to give them to their parents. Now granted there will be a “white out” so you have a chance to stick out like a sore thumb – wear orange!
There are alot of choices downtown for pre-game. You shouldn’t have any problems finding a place getting there two hours before tip. 4th Street Live has alot of bars, Bearnos and Impelizzaris are two good pizza joints within walking distance of YUM. I like the BBC on 4th in Theater Square for local crafted beer. Depending on your timing, you may be able to park on a side street for free, otherwise the lots closest to the stadium will be $10.
The locals won’t be too rough on you. You’ll enjoy listening to them whine over “missed” call. The joint can get loud if they get things rolling. There isn’t a bad seat there. Have fun!
Only problem,
is they have been checking student id cards at the door with your ticket this year. I have my own season tickets this season but last year I used student tickets with no problem, this year, different story. You may want to call in advance and make sure before you make the drive. Definitely check out BBC across the street from YUM! for a good beer, and the club sandwich on pretzel bread is the real deal.
Live in Lexington....
driving in for the game. Fourth Street Live is a good party spot.

4th street is going downhill lately
There’s some new places on Frankfort Ave that are pretty cool. The Silver Dollar is a new place with awesome cocktails and a pretty sweet environment. (Old firehouse converted into bar/restaurant) If you want to see an unreal collection of beers from all over the world check out Sergio’s on Story Ave. It’s relatively close to the YUM! center and the beers on tap are delicious.
