Syracuse vs. Louisville: It Goin' Be Loud

Stay connected for news and updates

When the Syracuse Orange host the Louisville Cardinals in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, they'll be doing so in front of what might be the biggest crowd of the season.

The Daily Orange reports that more than 30,000 tickets have already been sold for the Senior Day match-up. The Orange will attempt to sweep the season series from the Cards and finish the year undefeated at home.

Syracuse's Feb. 11 game against Connecticut was the only one that eclipsed the 30,000 attendance mark this year. The crowd of 33,430 was the largest in college basketball this season and the fourth-largest basketball attendance in Carrier Dome history.

The D.O. also noted that Syracuse's average attendance of 23,085 this season is ahead of last year's 22,312 average.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals still have one more game before ours. They take on South Florida Wednesday night for their own Senior Day. That's no small task considering how well the Bulls have been playing. The two teams are currently in fifth and sixth place in the Big East and could still move up or down depending on how things play out.
