SU Women's Tennis Jumps in Rankings

First, let me say I know nothing about how these rankings work. Nevertheless, after defeating #25 Yale by a 4-3 score (and losing to #59 William and Mary), Syracuse has jumped from unranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings TO BEING RANKED # 39. This is the highest ranking in program history.

There is really no rhyme or reason to these rankings. SU was #73 a few weeks ago (Top 75 are ranked), then fell out of the rankings the next week, despite going 2-0 that week. And Yale, who was #25 when we (as an unranked team) beat them, just rose to #18.

Emily Harman fell out of the top 100, after going 1-1 in singles last week.

The Orange have weekend matches at Pitt (5-4, 2-2) and West Virginia (3-7, 1-3). Im sure if SU sweeps both matches, they will fall in the rankings...

Congrats to the tennis team. Luke Jensen has them on the rise!
