The No. 2 Syracuse Orange dispatched with one rival this week and now they'd like to take care of another one when the Connecticut Huskies visit the Carrier Dome on Saturday.
Over 32,000 are expected to be in attendance to watch the Orange and Huskies and most of them will be doing so in orange (or platinum, perhaps).
Huskies coach Jim Calhoun will miss Saturday's game while on an indefinite medical leave of absence because of spinal stenosis. George Blaney will continue to coach the team on his behalf.
The game may come down to how the Fab Melo and his ilk can match up with 6-foot-10 center Andre Drummond and 6-9 forwards Tyler Olander and Alex Oriakhi. The Orange were massively-outrebounded by the Hoyas and it's been an issue all season.
It's also a big recruiting day for SU, who hosts five-star center Nerlens Noel, the No. 1-overall ranked player by ESPN Recruiting in the Class of 2012, and five-star point guard Tyler Ennis, Class of '13. Make them both feel welcome (especially Nerlens).

1. Great team
2. Defense very strong, except rebounding
3. Full Court Press surprisingly effective
4. Half court offense very suspect
5. Attack after defensive rebound or steal/turnover is brilliant

a) Keita is only disaapointment.
b) Kudos to Mello for thinning down. Runs the court like a deer

When we go the the ACC, that will happen in Syracuse (and hopefully NYC)
The ACC Wednesday games that are on ESPN are also on the ACC Network, so if we play on a Wednesday night, if you have to watch on the ACC Network, you can avoid a Wednesday night Dukie V call.

no one is watching DePaul-ND but they called the worst charge this season. Cooley had both feet in the restricted area, slid under the Depaul player and the Depaul guy barely touched him as he tried to slide by. Instead of basket and foul became ND ball up 5 instead of up 2. Awful.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say CJ is our second best player after KJ.
He’s not the most talented but he has more heart than anyone else out there.
Melo is 2nd most important

is I hope Triche isn’t losing confidence. LAst two games he’s gotten limited minutes in the second half (today understandable) and for guards that can become an issue. Wonder where his temperment is.
