Syracuse football loves its defensive linemen named Jones. There was Art, then there was Chandler and now there's Zian. Our newest Jones committed to play for the Syracuse Orange today during National Signing Day.

Stat Me: Jones has 45 tackles, including 15 tackles for a loss and four sacks in ten games this past season for West Los Angeles College. He was rated 55th in SuperPrep’s Top 100 Junior College rankings.

Rivals says...three-stars

Scout says...two-stars.

Who's Crying?: Eastern Michigan and New Mexico State.

Money Quote: "I just like playing on the d-line," Jones said. "I originally started out on the defensive line, so I just went back to what I know."

Which SU Coach Gets A Bonus?: Greg Adkins owns stock in JUCO linemen from California.

Fun Fact: Jones' position coach at WLACC, Owen Brown, is the older brother of former Syracuse lineman Eugene Brown.

Fun Fact 2: It's pronounced "Zan."
