National Signing Day, Syracuse Recruiting: Talkin' About Marcus Coleman
Marcus Coleman may be one of the least talked about members of this 2012 recruiting class for Syracuse, but the defensive tackle from New Jersey has good size and is coming off of a great senior season.
Stats Me: Marcus recorded 46 tackles and a sack this year for 10-1 Camden Catholic.
Rivals says...two stars for Marcus.
Scout says...two stars, and a position ranking of 106.
ESPN says...two stars and a grade of 74. He ranked 132 at his position, 210 in his region, and 39 in New Jersey.
Who's Crying?: Delaware was his only other offer when he pledged with the offer, although he had a few schools like Purdue looking around.
Money Quote: "They are all about developing the total person, not just the football player," Coleman said. "That's what drew me to Syracuse."
What SU Coach is Getting a Bonus?: Marrone, Shafer and Daost all get a bit of credit here.
Fun Fact: Coleman didn't play much defensive tackle until this year, so he is fairly raw at that position. He's another kid looking for a Whitman education.
Highlights: Plenty of them over here at this site.
