If you've enjoyed a montage video made by SU Athletics in the last decade, chances are it was made by Roger Springfield. The pre-game videos, the tribute videos, etc., they're almost all overseen by him. (Check out his Vimeo page, which includes Big East Old Man Regret, here).

Or at least they were. The Post-Standard is reporting that Springfield is under investigation by Syracuse police and the District Attorney's Office

According to the article, no one will go on record as to what he's being investigated for but it's enough that SU removed him from the online directory and disconnected his office phone. The investigation was set off internally by SU officials, who alerted police.

Last week, someone emailed me asking me if I had heard anything about a particularly disturbing rumor and that rumor seems to line up pretty well with what's being reported here. I'm not going to write what I've heard but, if true, get ready for another patented Syracuse Athletics Headache.

The investigation is expected to last another 2-3 weeks. We'll see how this goes...
