Another 5 Star recruit considering SU...do we have an available scholarship?

From http://www.cityleaguehoops.net/2012/12/06/jermaine-lawrence-is-ready-to-decide/

Every year there’s a player who bursts out on the AAU circuit and emerges as a top-20 prospect. Things were no different in the spring of 2012, as Jermaine Lawrence showed national scouts what they were missing out on with his play for New Rens.

An angular 6’10 forward, Lawrence showed the versatility to play all over the floor. He’ll probably see the majority of time as a face-up power forward, but it wouldn’t surprise us to see him play some spot minutes on the wing. Lawrence has shown the ability to post, can shoot out to the college three, and can beat slower defenders off the bounce. His length and athleticism also allow him to defend multiple positions on the defensive end, making him an incredibly valuable commodity for a program on the rise.

Jermaine is reportedly down to Syracuse, St. John’s, Cincinnati, and UNLV. His length would make him a perfect fit in Syracuse’s patented zone, while his talent would enable him to see considerable burn early on at the other three programs. Rumored to being close to making a decision, one lucky college will be able to start planning how to utilize Lawrence’s package of skills sooner rather than later.
