Whenever I see "check out the new theme song for the upcoming Syracuse Orange basketball season," my entire stomach contracts. I mean, Shut It Down was a work of master genius but I still wake up in a cold sweat with Unfinished Business stuck in my brain like a worm boring into my cerebral cortex.

And so, news came down on high today that we have an official theme for the 2012-2013 season and, in what is probably the best outcome, it's...fine.

More than anything, we don't want a theme song that's embarrassing and we succeed here. Solid work by World Be Free and Fly Boi Beats. It's catcy, it includes the names of all the relevant players and they didn't make a cheesy video that includes Nancy Cantor lip-dubbing. That's a win.

Of course, I'm a little confused by one lyric. "All you see is that white, all you see is that orange." Where is "all you see is that platinum?"

Like the song? Great. Don't like the song? Tough sh*t. You're gonna be hearing it a lot.
