Now that Rutgers has flamed out once again in glorious fashion, we *theoretically* can't be certain who is playing in the BCS for the Big East. Since the bowl selection show is Sunday at 8:30, does this mean the RA, Belk, Pinstripe, and BBVA bowls will have to wait until after that announcement to make their selections? Because, in *theory* there could be one of three (possibly four) teams to play in the BCS from the Big East. So can these bowls make tentative/conditional offers to schools before the official decision on Sunday? And if they can, will this information be public? For example, everyone assumes Louisville will be the BCS representative. Can the RA bowl make a conditional offer to Rutgers to go there assuming there isn't some statistical miracle that Rutgers is selected to the BCS? Following that, can the Belk bowl then make a conditional offer to whoever they want? I'm just curious how this whole process works and when all of this will be announced. I would prefer to not have to wait til Sunday to find out.
