Looking for some opinions on the 1st quarter Louisville TD screen pass and whether the block on #11 Marquis Spruill should have been a penalty?

To me it looked like it should have been a tripping penalty considering the offensive player basically dove and grabbed his leg. It looks like the play would have been stopped for a short gain if it did not happen.
