Behind Jerome Smith, the Syracuse Orange running game is finally starting to find its groove. Prince-Tyson Gulley is also filling in where he can to give Smith a breather. SU can make due with the two of them in the line-up.
That said, it's nice to have options. And there are two RB specialists that Syracuse would love to have back in the line-up this Saturday against the Cincinnati Bearcats. One looks likely while the other...not so much.
Ashton Broyld, freshman extraordinaire, is a go to return to the lineup this week. Last week's upper body injury seems to have healed and he's practicing at full-strength. According to Rahme, he worked extensively with the first-team offense on Tuesday.
As for Mr. Tank, Adonis Ameen-Moore, things aren't looking quite as good. According to Rahme, he's not done for the season but he's not ready to return just yet either.
A source close to the team said the injury was not season-ending. Ameen-Moore continues to be listed as day-to-day.
The Tank survives without him but it's lesser for it.
Deon Goggins got his bell rung in the South Florida game. However, he has "showed no ill effects of the collision that left him lying on the field for a few minutes" and seems to be cleared to play against Cincy.
