Wendell Alexis Highlights, Anyone?

It's time to take another vintage video trip down Cuse hoops memory lane, but this time, the Orangeman in the spotlight isn't a member of the All-Century team, nor is he necessarily a household name amongst SU fans.

Regardless, Brooklyn, NY's Wendell Alexis ended up with a solid four-year career at Syracuse. His first three campaigns were spent as a sixth man, producing quality minutes in place of Andre Hawkins, Sean Kerins and Rony Seikaly in the frontcourt. Alexis is remembered for his oh-so soft shooting touch (which helped him to a splendid 79% career free throw percentage), and for his unsmiling, steely-cold stare of a hardwood assassin.

Check out his numbers, and marvel at his consistent improvement each year, culminating in a sparkling senior season in which he earned a spot on the All-Big East second team and as an All-American Honorable Mention as Cuse's second leading scorer (behind Pearl Washington) and #2 rebounder (behind Seikaly).

The soundtrack for the Alexis highlight video is Brooklyn's own Masta Ace's "Letter To The Better" (1989).
