A New ESPN Employee to Hate
It seemed for a second that Ron Morris was the only hater left out there in the country, who couldn't fathom that Syracuse might actually deserve to be recognized right now as the top team in the country or at least in the top 2. But as I was perusing the new ESPN college basketball power rankings today I found another "expert" who feels a very similar way. It is Jason McCallum ESPN researcher... what wait, researcher? Since when do researchers get their names on the website and actually have their content printed?
Oh well, the point is the young Schwaby is the only voter out of 16 to not pick Syracuse as the #1 but instead drop them to #3 in his poll behind Kentucky and 2 loss North Carolina. These 16 voters mind you include such hated ESPN "experts" as Dukie V, Dana O'Neil and Doug Gottlieb. So if all these geniuses have seen the light what is wrong with this guy. I hope somebody can pick this guy up on ESPN CNY so we can get an explanation that's just as well thought out as Good old Ron's was.

I dunno
Doug Gottlieb is overrated as a hater. I think he is just better suited for radio than TV. On TV, it looks like he is smirking, making his accurate commentary seem bitter. It all started when he said we were not good enough for the Big Dance, which turned out to be true. We’d say the same thing about most bubble teams every year too. You had your chance to get in—next year don’t lose to teams you should beat. #12 seeds don’t win championships very often anyway.
Now Tom Brennan. That guy hated Syracuse. JB must have peed in his Wheaties one time. I hate THAT guy.
Dictated, but not read.

I actually like Gottlieb
I was calling Vitale, O’Neil, and Gottlieb hated by Syracuse fans, not haters of Syracuse.
The guy who voted 'Cuse 3 is a researcher
So he prolly has some sabermetric BS as to why he thinks Syracuse isn’t the best team. I’ll admit that advanced statistics can be useful and informative but, like all statistics, they don’t tell the whole story and can’t be relied on exclusively.

In the SportsNation Fan Vote
They rank UK #1 and us #2. So now we hate … America.

But that's not really surprising
I think we all can kind of expect it. The national perception has been for a long time that UK and UNC, etc are the true powers, they have won their share of national titles while we only won in ‘03. Syracuse is supposed to be good, but not THAT good. That’s just the way it’s going to be. Even now, people are going to say we may deserve to be ranked #1, just b/c we haven’t lost, but they don’t really think we are the best team in the nation; they won’t either, no many articles are out there about our depth or how good Fab has gotten or our defense or anything else. To a great many people the only time we will be deserving of #1 is if we cut down the net in April.
Kentucky fanbase > Syracuse fanbase
in raw numbers.
Syracuse fanbase > Kentucky fanbase in terms of quality
Without Gerry McNamara we wouldn't have won 10 f-- games, not 10

Why stop there?
Haven’t we won tournaments in Maui and Alaska before? Have we ever played in Puerto Rico?
Shut up brain or I'll stab you with a Q-tip
We also control
Belgium, New Zealand, Philippines, Greece, and Blargon 7
The 'Cuse is in tha house, oh my God oh my God.
Does Gottlieb really have Ohio State number 2?
Sorry, but anyone who has anything but SU/Kentucky 1 and 2 in some order is a complete effing moron.
If they actually played
it would be that result after Calipari gets his wins stripped again.

makes we wonder if we should have a 'Troll Day' here.
Where we unleash the fury on all ESPN and CBSSports msg boards.
Like a flash mob of cyber idiocy.
Admit it, as well behaved as we are, sometimes it just needs to happen.
I vote the day after a Kentucky loss.

So much hate
I am very busy currently hating Rob Parker, but I can make room for these guys.
There should be some way these people are held accountable
