1996-1997 Basketball Coaching Staff and "Wife 2"

In Bobby Davis' affidavit, he states:

In 1996 and/or 1997, I was asked by Laurie Fine on a number of occasions to drive her to the Skytop Apartments. On many occasions, Laurie Fine would meet another assistant coach's wife ("Wife 2") at Skytop. Because I drove Ms. Fine quite a number of times both to and from the apartment complex, I knew that Laurie Fine was in a sexual relationship with Player 2 and that Wife 2 was in a sexual relationship with Player 3, both of whom lived at Skytop. I knew that from the many conversations I overheard between Ms. Fine and Wife 2. The two women spoke explicitly about their sexual exploits with Players 2 and 3.

In a story published at Syracuse.com on May 8, 2011, it states:

From 1996 to 2000, the Syracuse staff consisted of Boeheim, Fine, Hopkins and former Orange star Louis Orr, who is now the head coach at Bowling Green State University.

If you believe Davis, the assistant coach who was/is married to "Wife 2" had to be either Mike Hopkins or Louis Orr.

Was Hopkins married then?

He graduated in ‘93, so I’m not sure.

Based on Orr’s age, I’m guessing he was married.

What about graduate assistants?

my thoughts exactly

tried to do some research on the google machine to back it up, but nothing of significance came up.

According to my google fu

Orr married his wife Yvette around 1991. This is based on articles mentioning his step daughter Monica Mack being 8 when Orr and Yvette married. Mack played hoops at Fordham from 01-05. Orr’s son Chauncey currently plays for his dad at BGSU btw…

I'm guessing it was or wasn't

Rock Llyod, LaSean Howard, Eric Williams, Bobby Lazor, Sam Spann or David Patrick.

Depending on their taste in women, it may explain the motive behind their transfers

ESPN article states Hopkins had "run-in" with Davis

From:

http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/7292228/former-ball-boy-bobby-davis-describes-life-ex-syracuse-assistant-coach-bernie-fine

“A coach at another nationally known program said last week that Davis’ name has come up in the coaching fraternity as having had a run-in in the past with Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins.

According to someone close to the Syracuse program, Davis stayed with Hopkins, who has an agreement with the university to replace Boeheim when the Hall of Fame coach retires, early in his coaching career and allegedly did “steal stuff from him.”

Asked whether there was any truth to the theft allegation, Davis says, “No, not that I can remember.”

Hopkins, 42, did not respond to messages left for him. A former Syracuse player, he is in his 15th season on the coaching staff, is married and has a young family. Davis was still around the Syracuse program when Hopkins arrived as a freshman in 1989."

Maybe the “run-in” is somehow related to Wife 2?

You mean payback by Davis?

…against Hopkins for this “run-in?” Could fit a pattern if the allegations against Fine were rooted in Fine asking for his $5000 back.

Still need to know if Hopkins was even married at the time.

It could be a way to pre-empt

any possible stories from Hopkins. Allude to it being his wife to try and discredit him saying Davis stole from him, or other dirt he could add.

So, the blackmail campaign continues...

I’d say ‘MEGO’, but I really don’t want to bring the word ‘glaze’ into this discussion. Somebody toss these a-holes a quarter and let’s move on.

Offer them a Settlement in the form of a Donation to a charity

Since they say they aren’t doing this for Money then they should except this.

Will they? HELL NO because Gloria Allred can’t get a cut from a charity donation.

Yea I think Boeheim and Syracuse should make a huge deal with a Giant check to a charity and everything

Make them say no we want cash in front of the national media to show how they really feel.
