New Nike Uniforms: Fixed!

Don't worry Syracuse fans that was just a dream yesterday. Nike didn't actually reveal new uniforms for Syracuse featuring the color of their most hated rival. They took their time and used the colors that Syracuse has used for decades to give the Orange a fresh new look. They wouldn't have forced Syracuse to join a group of 9 schools wearing the same color except for accent trim. They wouldn't try to convince us that the Jerseys made of 5% less material were really that much different than the other 18 Nike schools who have already worn Gray this season. The Orange have entered "Platinum" status, they now have New Hyper Elite Jerseys that stand out from any other school in the country and preserve the rich tradition of the program while still moving forward into the future.

Yeah - the blue is a little off

Has to be more navy, like the piping on the first shorts. Still better than gray though. Nice work.

But I will say, I also agree with some of the comments on the other posts that I’m not sure if I like ‘CUSE on the road jersey all the time. An occasional thing is fine (Like Missouri uses ’Mizzou’ sometimes), but more often than not, the road uni should read “Syracuse”

I’m not even crazy about the ORANGE on the current home unis. All jerseys should be adorned with SYRACUSE…period.

As someone else mentioned in the other thread

It’s standard practice. Home unis carry the team nickname and road unis carry the city/state/school name. This isn’t something new that they thought up just to piss you off.

Second is gator blue like someone else said.

But good work.

If the last time they did this was any indication – this new uni is going to be the template for our next set of consistent jerseys. (Think a few years ago with the crazy graphics on the back).
Therefore I think the orange you posted might be very close to what they will do. They’ll bring in white and orange designs. Or so I hope.

Someone said this yesterday (maybe it was you). But I’m pretty sure they unveiled the “System of Dress” late in the season and never went back to the previous abomination. Plus it was like 5 years ago.

It was during the DNich/TRob/Watkins senior year. The one where they got snubbed (hard) in the postseason. Here’s visual evidence from the final game they played that year (against Clemson). Verify the photo’s age, by witnessing the incredibly scrawny build on one Sir Andy Rautins.

No it was 2 years ago.

Nike introduced the new mesh and crazy background design (our currents uniforms) on the Wes and Andy 09 team. I figured it was just for a few games but it stuck.

These are amazing, obviously the Blue ones need to be Darker, but we get the idea, and i love them! I would also like to see the white one for home.

I think we should always wear blue jerseys on Sunday Road games, like the lakers do for sunday home games (they wear white for those games instead of Yellow)

The orange version needs to happen.

Hell, even if it was white instead of the blue in that mock-up they would be great. And to be honest, I suspect that first one will be what closer to what the real things will look like next year instead of the “platinum” things we saw.
