Sean Kilpatrick Expects To Play Against Syracuse - Down The Drive

Rugged Cincinnati awaits an Orange team coming off its first loss of the season | syracuse.com
"It’s always tough to not have your starting guy, a guy who’s been there for us all year on the defensive end," Jardine said. "He changes a lot of shots, gets us going with some dunks. It’s hard. But for the most part, that wasn’t the case (against Notre Dame). We missed him, but we didn’t make shots. It was pretty bad."

Mike's Mailbox: Will Syracuse have to vacate wins because of Fab Melo? | syracuse.com

MBB | SU looks to regroup, avoid losing streak at Cincinnati - The Daily Orange
"We're a confident team," Fair said. "Even though we lost, we still think we're the best team in the country. We feel as though (Cincinnati) have to play perfect to beat us, and I don't think no team will play perfect."

Saddle Up: 'Cuse face next road challenge - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN
This is a major road challenge for Syracuse, one of the toughest this team has faced (or will face) all season long, and it comes just two days after the Orange suffered their first loss of the season.

Cincinnati Bearcats vs. #4 Syracuse Orange | Three Keys - Down The Drive
The loss of Fab Melo has left a massive hole in the center of Syracuse's vaunted 2-3 zone. Jack Cooley, who is similarly sized but not nearly as athletic as Yancy, dominated the interior of the Cuse defense with 17 points on 62 per cent shooting and got to the line 10 times. Oh and for good measure he pulled down 10 boards including 6 offensive. Yancy Gates will outweigh everyone Cuse throws at him by at least 40 pounds and will obviously have a massive advantage in terms of strength. In the last five games Gates has averaged 11.4 points and 9.6 rebounds. He needs to surpass both of those numbers.

Cincinnati Vs. Syracuse: No. 3 Orange Look For Rebound Victory At Bearcats - SB Nation New York
Overall, Cincinnati features a small lineup as senior forward Yancy Gates (6-foot-9) is used as their primary big man. The Bearcats, who Since Dec. 11, the Bearcats are averaging more than 10 made 3-pointers per game, relies heavily on the 3-point shot.

Syracuse Orange Basketball - Orange Scouting Report: Cincinnati
Get out in transition: Syracuse forced 17 turnovers against Notre Dame, but the chances to run in transition were minimal. This must change against the Bearcats. Syracuse has struggled in their half-court offense, so easy transition buckets will be key. Dion Waiters and Brandon Triche need to force more steals, and run at every opportunity.

Follett's bookstore to shut down due to business competition - News - The Daily Orange
Joseph Dugas, textbook coordinator for Follett's, declined to specify the "several reasons" for the bookstore's closing, but he said the competition between Follett's and the SU Bookstore played a role. It is uncommon for two major bookstores to service a university, Dugas said.
