Syracuse on SUnday (Conference Championships)
As mentioned before: NFL Playoffs - Who are we rooting for?
Only the Ravens & Giants had links to the Orange.
As pointed out last week by Lots of Pulp New England Patriots coach Matt Patricia (who is listed on the team's website as the Safties coach) was a graduate assistant at Syracuse from 2001-2003.
Jameel McClain (Baltimore Ravens) – 2 tackles in loss @ New England
Arthur Jones (Baltimore Ravens) – 1 tackle in loss @ New England
Tom Coughlin (New York Giants) - The Giants ran 90 plays (58 pass/26 run) for 352 total yards in an OT win @ San Francisco. Coughlin was 1/1 on coaches challenges which included a costly turnover by the 49ers. The Giants will now travel to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI & a rematch of Super Bowl XLII which was highlighted by former Orange WR David Tyree.
With Tom Coughlin left as the only SU alum taking part in the Super Bowl (kind of) we all become de facto Giants fans, so let's go G-men!
Lets also not forget the Patriots were responsible for ending the Dick MacPherson era at Syracuse when he left to become the coach in 1991.

As a self-respecting Eagles fan
I will not root for the Giants. I will however root my ass off for a Patriots loss.

He did use a challenge; on the first punt return fumble that went of Williams’ keg.

Correct (NOW Updated)
I forgot about that which was one of the most important plays in the game, sorry.
Isn't Coughlin
one of the best at coach’s challenges in the NFL?
Without Gerry McNamara we wouldn't have won 10 f-- games, not 10

Yes, I believe he has one of the (if not best) overturn %s in the NFL.
Though that could to do more with having a good video crew upstairs and/or lousy officiating crews. I don’t know if that stat is very telling about Coughlin, himself.
Go Orange(men)!
Or it could be
That he’s just not an idiot.

Like taking a timeout to decide to take a challenge
and then losing that challenge anyways…
