Syracuse University gets commitment from junior college defensive tackle Zian Jones

"A lot of schools were coming in on the kid," Brown said. "I think the biggest thing is his size and athletic ability. This was his first year of playing defensive line (in college). It was an adjustment, but once he got it, he got it." Brown said he didn’t know what Jones’ 40-yard dash time was but estimated that he probably could run between a 4.7 and 4.8 seconds. "When we ran wind sprints he was with our linebackers," Brown said.
