Syracuse Football Recruiting: Manley's Field House
We have a Melo Center and a guy named Melo. Seems only right that we have a guy named Manley to go with Manley Field House.
Let me know when DeJesus Carrier commits to SU.
Josh Manley, a 6-foot-3, 245-pouund defensive end out of Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga., told Orange coaches today that he wanted to play for SU after making an official visit over the weekend.
Manley is rated a two-star recruit by the Rivals.com and ESPN.com web sites. He got two stars from Scout.com.
He might be two-star rated but Manley had some solid offers on the table, including Georgia Tech, Boston College, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, Purdue, Virginia and Wake Forest.
SU must have made quite an impression, Manley listed GT and L'ville as his leaders back in September. Manley is a lifelong Georgia Tech fan. You better believe the fact that the Jackets will be on SU's future schedule made a difference.
The "family" atmosphere at SU didn't hurt either:
“With Syracuse, the coaches never stopped showing interest,” Manley said. “I like the schools down here, but I really got the family feeling when I went up to Syracuse, and I didn’t feel it at other places.”
“It felt so good that I didn’t want to leave,” said Manley, who was recruited by SU assistant coach Greg Adkins.
The Orange continue to rack up Georgia commits as Manley follows George Morris and Josh Parris from the Peach State.

Great news
Though its made me wonder more about Max Beaulieu and what was supposed to be….
I bet they sold him on the ability to play early more than anything. Need position for sure.
Hm.
Does anyone know why we are making inroads into Georgia all of the sudden? I like it, but it seems sort of random to me.
Clear eyes, full bologna sandwiches!
Adkins
We were making good progress in Georgia last year as well because of him

Absolutely Adkins. Ran into and chatted with him, briefly, in the Atlanta airport on our way to SU vs. Tulane.
Great guy and said he was there, in GA, recruiting. Don’t under estimate the potential impact of getting some of those GA kids to play at CUSE. Will be especially clutch if SU can cultivate a good relationship with Parris’s school. I think they had like 16 kids with D1 offers on that football team.
