The Antwon Bailey West Coast Tour Grows
Syracuse Orange running back Antwon Bailey capped a solid career as the latest in a long-line of dependable Orange RBs this past season.
He became the 15th SU runner to cross the 1,000 yard mark (1,051) this year and his 2,144 career yards leaves him 16th on the all-time list.
However, he's still a relatively unknown quantity outside of Syracuse. With the NFL Draft looming, that just won't work. And so, Bailey has to take his show on the road. You know what that means....ROAD TRIIIIIIIIP!!!
We know Antwon will be joined by Andrew Tiller at the Casino Del Sol All-Star game (formerly the Eastham Energy Game) at 6 p.m. on Jan. 16 in Tuscon, AZ. It's a pretty solid list of entrants and should be a good showcase for Twon.
Not done there, he's then off to the AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, held January 21 at the Home Depot Center outside Los Angeles. He'll join 100 of the country’s top draft prospects in another showcase for NFL scouts. The game will be televised on NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus).
He's also been invited to next month's NFL Draft Combine, where he'll join over 300 prospects in running various drills and getting poked and prodded while we watch on the NFL Network.

Home Depot Center outside Los Angeles
Is Carson not considered LA any more? I was under the impression anything in LA county was LA. Yes, its not in the city of LA, but neither is Beverly Hills or Compton. When you say its outside LA, you make it sound like its in Anaheim or something (yuck)
May Doug Marrone bless you and keep you.
Having lived there
I can tell you that no one in Los Angeles considers Carson anything close to LA. It’s a good half-hour south of anything resembling LA.

though having lived in San Diego for the last decade
I pretty much consider everything from Orange Country to the mountains just before you hit farm country on I-5 to be LA (i.e. somewhere I wish I could teleport my car from one side of to the other when I need to drive up to San Jose for work).
You lived in Carson too?
I lived there when I was working in Torrance.

I guess its not. But San Pedro is…. so weird.
